MISSION STATEMENT

To collect, preserve and display the school's photographs, papers and artifacts
To staff the alumni office and maintain current files of all SDHS graduates
To sponsor and assist in class reunions and annual homecoming events
To publish for the alumni a semiannual newsletter
To support and assist the school and the SDHS Foundation
To promote school spirit and pride in the students through historical knowledge

   SDHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OFFERS NEW MEMBERSHIP DEAL

In a recent Alumni Association newsletter mailed to SDHS Alumni members,
all new and returning alumni of San Diego High School are being offered a new
FIVE YEAR membership for only FIFTY DOLLARS!

The new offer was decided following an alumni board discussion about making
an incentive for new and returning members, taking into account the desire to
increase our membership, and make it more affordable considering the economy.

Alumni may send a check made payable to the
"San Diego High School Alumni Association"
directly to the Alumni Office on campus at the address below.

The Frank Petrich Historical Room is full of information on the school and is used by students as well as historians doing their research.

WWII SEMINAR
Dick Jackson
Each year, Alumni who are veterans of World War II come to the school and interact with students.  Lively discussions are held and
the students get to ask many questions about that war and others.  It is a rewarding experience for both parties.

ALUMNI CHOIR
The Alumni Choir presents a program each year at Christmas in the University Christian Church in Hillcrest.  Everyone is invited to join us in the choir practice and program, we always have a very large audience and good Alumni participation.  It is a fun way to see old friends and make new ones.  Please call Marian McLachlan at 619-265-8125 for more information.

The last Alumni Choir Concert was held December 19, 2006 and was dedicated to E. Harrison Maxwell and Luella Maxwell.

MEMBERSHIP
We currently have 3,152 names in the data base.  Of that 1,648 are Life Members, 160 Sustaining Members, 687 Annual Members, and 650 are deceased.  We keep the deceased in the file so that when we give the reunion committee a listing of members, they can update their files of classmates who have died.  If annual members do not renew after two notices (2 years), we remove their name from the data base so our number of annual members changes quarterly.
